Norm Petersen Regatta
Named after the late Norm Petersen (1925-2015) who was instrumental in bringing new life into the South End Rowing Program during the late 1970s and 1980s.
Tom & Jerry Three Buoy Regatta
A 5 mile open water regatta named for the two South Enders – Rowing Commissioner Jerry Purmal and Tom Lundgren – who designed this course in 2012 to test navigational and rowing skills. The “3 buoys” mark shipping channels around Little Alcatraz, Alcatraz and Blossom Rock.
