FAQs

Will there be food and drinks provided?
Yes, each year, the club’s trade off hosting responsibilities. We always provide food and drinks post races.

Where and when can I register?
Registration happens the morning of the race at whichever Club is hosting. Check the timeline to see registration cut-off times. Please arrive early to get registration completed prior to any briefing. Also, please note that you must be cleared and reserved a boat with your Rowing Commissioner in advance of the Tri.

How do the points systems work?
Each sporting event has a slightly different points system. Please refer to the sporting sections above for the points system. If you need further clarification, please contact your sports commissioner.

Do I have to participate in all three sporting events?
No, you can participate in as many sporting events as you like. We encourage ALL members to participate in at least one sporting event, or volunteer for the day. The more members that participate, the more points we will likely get for our club and keep the plaque!!

Can I get bonus points?
YES! If you participate in all three sporting events AND get top three in your age group, then you get extra bonus points for the club.

What are the fees?
There is no fee to participate.

Can I wear a wetsuit during the swim?
Yes and No. You can wear a wetsuit, although it won’t count as a point for the Club. No swim aids, wet suit, fins, etc. Just cap, goggles and your suit to get a point.

How can I volunteer when I am not in a sporting event?
Great question! At South End, we rely on our volunteer support of our events. Please sign up for a volunteer position here.
