The South End is a non-profit club, and we rely on volunteers to maintain our fleet of boats. Our Boathouse Captain leads a volunteer crew to repair and maintain our boats every Thursday at 6pm at the South End boathouse. Volunteers, including members and non-members, sand and varnish, paint and polish, and fix and tinker to keep our fleet afloat.
If you are interested in joining the South End, Boat Night is a wonderful introduction to the club, and a good way to meet South End members and rowers.
No experience is needed, just a willingness to get dirty and work, and a sense of humor is most welcome. We usually have a home-cooked dinner for volunteers, served at 8:00 PM.
If you are interested in cooking for Boat Night, we can reimburse a small amount, and you will find a very appreciative crew!
